Areas
Wing Washington 08 divides the state into five rough geographical areas. Draw a north/south line through the state with Blewett Pass in the center. Intersect an east/west line through the state with Blewett Pass in the center. Draw a 200 mile square with Blewett Pass in the center. Northwest: From North Bend and Holden north to the Canada border, and west over the Olympic Peninsula to the coast Southwest: From Tampico and Auburn south to the Oregon border, and west to the coast Central: A 200 mile square, with Blewett Pass is in the center of the square Northeast: From Soap Lake and Lucerne north to the Canada border, and east to the Idaho border Southeast: From Yakima and Moses Lake south to the Oregon border, and east to the Idaho border Occasionally, unexpected changes happen among the chosen sites. Sometimes they are made inaccessible by road conditions; sometimes they change names; sometimes, unfortunately, a company may go out of business. In these cases, simply have a picture of the location, and it will count towards credit for the site and theme. If a site requires a fee to get in (such as a state park), it is also acceptable to have a photo of the entrance to qualify for having visited the site. |
